Wall Mounted Split Air Conditioning Systems

Advanced Air Conditioning offer Standard and Advanced Air Conditioning Servicing for Wall and Floor Mounted Split System Air Conditioners. Whilst air filters can be removed easily and cleaned by the homeowner, there are other components that need to be regularly checked, such as refrigerant, cooling coils, condensing unit, drip trays and drains to ensure your system is distributing clean, healthy air and working smarter, not harder.

Multi Split Air Conditioning Systems

Advanced Air Conditioning offer Standard and Advanced Air Conditioning Servicing for Multi Split System Air Conditioners. Due to the fact that there is only one condenser powering multiple indoor units (heads), it is that much more important to maintain regular servicing, because if the condenser stops operating so will all of the indoor units. That is not fun in the middle of summer, trying to stay cool, or the middle of winter, trying to keep warm.

Advanced Air Conditioning Service and Installation

Yes.

Installing, repairing and servicing air conditioners is a very technical process, which is why it is so important to engage a licensed professional, i.e. – US! It is actually illegal for technicians/tradesman to handle refrigerant gases without a license that has been issued by the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC). Air Conditioners contain refrigerants which are ozone depleting substances and a single kilogram of R410a (most commonly used air conditioning refrigerant) released illegally into the atmosphere has the same effect on the ozone layer as running your car for 6 months. That is why our technicians/tradesman are licensed with the Full Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) Licenses.
You can visit lookforthetick.com.au to search or for further information.

On top of holding an ARC License, a Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) Contractor License is required to carryout Mechanical Services work; Mechanical services work involves the construction, installation, replacement, repair, alteration, maintenance, testing or commissioning of a mechanical heating or cooling system in commercial and residential buildings, for example air conditioning, refrigeration and air handling systems. These systems contribute to the overall health and safety of the community and can have fatal consequences if incorrectly installed or maintained. Licensing of practitioners provides consumers comfort that operators hold an appropriate technical qualification and that the contractors are financially sound.

Depending on the environmental factors at your location, we recommend booking a standard service in, or before, October and April, prior to the change of seasons to confirm that your systems are in good working order and operating efficiently. For a system that is not used often throughout the year, we would suggest a minimum of every 12 months. We also recommend an Advanced in-depth service every 18-24 months. Whilst air filters can be removed easily and cleaned by the homeowner, there are other components that need to be regularly checked, such as refrigerant, cooling coils, condensing unit, drip trays and drains to ensure your system is distributing clean, healthy air and working smarter, not harder. Scheduling regular servicing, also known as preventative maintenance, will save you money, costly repairs, and prevent any downtime in the future.

Not at all. Whilst we encourage you, if you can, to take out and vacuum or wash your accessible filters every 6 months or when it appears that there is a build up, our standard service offers more in-depth services. Such as Looking at both the indoor and outdoor units both internally and externally and checking both for signs of vermin and/or geckos (which can have quite detrimental affect to your systems), checking and flushing condensate drains (no-one wants a blocked drain to cause damage to walls or roofs), testing and reporting on operations and controllers, testing pipe work and checking the condition and integrity of insulation, checking indoor and outdoor coils.
